Company ProfilePerea, Inc. has been in business in Colorado since 1984, and has long been regarded as one of the most competent and thorough investigative consulting firms in the state. We are a team of experienced professionals who have expertise with investigative services and background checks, both locally and internationally. We currently provide investigative services and background inquiries for a number of large companies, law firms and government agencies in Colorado. We offer numerous services to clients, including pre-employment background checks, corporate internal investigations, surveillance, missing person locates, criminal defense investigations and more. With a bilingual staff, we are able to assist clients in both English and Spanish. Billy Perea is the owner and founder of Perea Inc., Investigative Consultants. Prior to opening the business, Billy spent 15 years as a Police Detective Sergeant with the University of Colorado Police Department in Boulder. Billy's extensive background in the criminal justice system also includes organizing and directing a Boulder countywide team responsible for the investigation of shooting incidents involving police officers. He has conducted investigations for private individuals and small and large businesses, as well as school districts throughout the state of Colorado. Billy has also worked for attorneys in Colorado and in Texas representing school districts and government agencies in several asbestos litigation cases. He has interstate and international experience, and has worked cases which have taken him to California, Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas, and Washington State, as well as Acapulco, Mexico.
